Cookie and storage policy

Effective and last updated: 3 September 2026 · Operated by Essor AWD

This page explains what Faultfolio stores in your browser or device. It describes only what the service actually uses. Faultfolio does not run advertising networks, marketing pixels, social tracking or cross-site profiling, and it does not sell browsing data.

Sign-in and session storage (essential)

When you sign in, the authentication service stores a session token in your browser's local storage and may set cookies on the Faultfolio domain. This keeps you signed in between page loads and lets the server confirm that a request belongs to your account. If this storage is blocked or cleared you will be signed out and cannot use the paid workspace.

Security and integrity (essential)

Short-lived values are used to protect requests to the server, verify that a signed-in session is still valid, and prevent abuse of authentication and billing endpoints.

Payment and checkout (essential)

Checkout is provided by Stripe. When the payment form is displayed, Stripe sets its own cookies and storage on its domains for fraud prevention, payment authentication and to complete the transaction. Faultfolio cannot read your card details, and full card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by Faultfolio. Stripe's own cookie and privacy information applies to that processing.

Application and offline caching (essential)

Faultfolio is installable as a web app. A service worker and browser caches may store application files so the interface loads quickly and behaves predictably on a poor connection. The Android app keeps an equivalent private on-device cache of your own records. These caches are cleared when you sign out, uninstall, or clear site data.

Analytics and marketing

Faultfolio does not currently load an optional analytics, advertising or marketing tracker on this website, so there is no optional-cookie consent banner to configure. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first and any non-essential tracking will be presented as an opt-in choice rather than switched on by default.

Managing storage

You can clear cookies and site data, or block them, in your browser settings, and you can uninstall the installed app at any time. Because the items above are essential, blocking them prevents sign-in, payment and normal use of Faultfolio rather than simply reducing tracking.
