Faultfolio Solo subscription
Faultfolio Solo is a paid, automatically renewing monthly subscription for one personal account and one vehicle. Faultfolio Solo costs £1.00 for the first month for an eligible new account and then £4.99 per month, renewing automatically until you cancel. There is no free trial. Prices are in pounds sterling and include any applicable tax shown at checkout. Paid access is required to create or change vehicle, fault, evidence and reminder records.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Faultfolio does not store full payment-card details in its application database, and subscription status is only ever updated from verified payment-processor events rather than from the app. The amount, currency and any tax presented by Stripe at checkout form part of your confirmation, and Stripe issues the payment receipt.
Automatic renewal
After the £1.00 introductory month, the subscription renews automatically each month at £4.99 using your saved payment method until you cancel. Renewal continues without further action from you, and we send a renewal reminder email before an upcoming renewal where the payment processor notifies us of it. If the price ever changes we will tell you in advance and you will be able to cancel before the new price applies.
How to cancel
Cancel at any time using Manage billing in Faultfolio Settings, which opens the secure billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Access normally continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and the app shows that end date, unless the law, a refund decision or a payment problem requires a different outcome. Cancelling does not delete your account, vehicle record or evidence, and it is not itself a refund request — see below.
Cancellation is different from a refund
Cancelling ends future billing and is something you do yourself in the billing portal; it takes effect immediately for renewals and needs no approval from us. A refund is a request to return money already taken, which we assess against this policy and your statutory rights. Cancelling first does not weaken a refund request, and asking for a refund does not automatically cancel the subscription — do both if you want both.
Cooling-off and immediate access
UK consumers generally have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a contract made online. Faultfolio is supplied digitally and is intended to be available immediately after successful payment, so before checkout is created we ask you to expressly request immediate supply and to acknowledge the separate immediate-access notice. That consent affects the cooling-off right only to the extent the law allows, and it never removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Refunds
We do not operate a blanket no-refund rule. Outside a statutory right or another legal entitlement, monthly fees are not automatically refundable simply because you stopped using Faultfolio or forgot to cancel before a renewal. We will review and, where appropriate, refund in full or in part where there has been a duplicate or incorrect charge, a charge you did not authorise, a charge taken after a valid cancellation, or a material failure of the service.
Where consumer law entitles you to a remedy because a digital service is faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose or not supplied with reasonable care and skill, those rights apply in addition to this policy and may include repair, repeat performance, a price reduction or a refund. Nothing here reduces them. To request a refund, contact us with your account email, the approximate charge date and what went wrong; we aim to respond within a few working days, and approved refunds are returned by Stripe to the original payment method.
Introductory £1 month
The £1.00 introductory month is a once-only reduced first billing period for an eligible new account, not a free trial. The regular £4.99 monthly price applies automatically from the next period unless you cancel before renewal. Deleting and recreating an account, or cancelling and resubscribing, does not create a right to the introductory price again.
Failed or disputed payments
If a payment fails we email you and access may be restricted while the payment processor retries or while the subscription remains unpaid. Updating your card in the billing portal normally restores access once payment succeeds. If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first so we can investigate quickly; this policy does not restrict your chargeback rights or your card issuer's protections.
Android and app-store purchases
Web subscriptions are billed by Stripe under this policy. The Android app is for using an existing entitled account and does not sell subscriptions. If you ever purchase through an app store instead, that store's own billing, cancellation and refund process applies to that purchase.
Account deletion
Permanent deletion is separate from cancellation: it is designed to stop the linked billing relationship and then remove your private evidence and account data. See account and data deletion. Stripe may retain transaction information where required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or other legal reasons.
Consumer rights
This policy is additional to, and does not replace, mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. If any part of it conflicts with a right that cannot legally be excluded, the statutory right prevails.
Billing contact
Billing, cancellation and refund enquiries can be sent to Essor AWD using the contact method published at essorawd.com. Please do not include payment-card details or vehicle evidence files in a general enquiry.
