Privacy policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Faultfolio is developed and operated by Essor AWD. This policy explains how Faultfolio handles information when you use the web service or Android app.

Information we collect

We process account details such as your email address and display name; vehicle information such as registration, make, model, year and mileage; fault-case notes, dates, warning lights, diagnostic codes, garage statements, repair costs and reminders; notification preferences; and evidence you choose to upload, which may include photographs, PDFs and audio files.

Faultfolio also stores subscription identifiers and subscription status needed to control paid access. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored in the Faultfolio application database.

How we use information

We use this information only to provide and secure Faultfolio: authenticating your account, maintaining your private vehicle record, storing evidence, producing case reports, providing reminders, supporting account recovery, preventing abuse and managing subscription access.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. Information is processed by service providers used to operate Faultfolio, including Supabase for authentication, database and private file storage, Stripe for billing, and hosting/application infrastructure providers. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services or meet legal, security and fraud-prevention obligations.

Security

Faultfolio uses authenticated access, owner-scoped database and storage controls, private evidence storage, HTTPS transport and server-side billing verification. Evidence links are time-limited where signed download links are used. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, but access is designed so one user cannot read or modify another user's vehicle records.

Retention

Your Faultfolio account data is retained while your account exists or as needed to provide the service. When you permanently delete your account, Faultfolio removes the private evidence files and deletes the application account and associated application records. Limited technical logs or backups may persist temporarily as part of normal security and disaster-recovery processes. Stripe may retain transaction or billing records where required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or regulatory reasons.

Your choices and account deletion

You can export your Faultfolio account data from Settings. You can permanently delete your account from the Android app's account-deletion option or through the public deletion page below. Permanent deletion is different from cancelling a subscription or clearing vehicle data.

We may update this policy when Faultfolio's features, service providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
