Safety and product disclaimer
Effective and last updated: 3 September 2026 · Operated by Essor AWD
Faultfolio is an evidence and record-keeping tool for vehicle owners. Everything it shows you is built from information you entered or uploaded. It is important to be clear about what that does and does not mean.
Faultfolio does not diagnose
Faultfolio does not identify the cause of a fault, interpret warning lights or diagnostic codes for you, estimate whether a repair is necessary or fairly priced, or predict whether a fault will recur. Severity labels, statuses, reminders and report headings reflect what you recorded, not a technical assessment by us.
Faultfolio does not certify a vehicle
Faultfolio is not an inspection, MOT, roadworthiness certificate, safety approval, warranty assessment or recall check. A tidy Faultfolio record does not mean a vehicle is safe, legal or fit to drive, and an empty record does not mean it is faulty.
Get professional help for the vehicle itself
Decisions about driving, stopping, servicing or repairing a vehicle should be based on inspection and advice from a qualified mechanic, technician or other competent professional. If a fault involves braking, steering, tyres, visibility, fuel or fluid leaks, smoke, fire, electrical burning smells, loss of power or anything that makes the vehicle feel unsafe, stop relying on an app and get professional help. Where there is immediate danger to anyone, contact the emergency services. If you break down in a live traffic lane, follow the relevant road-safety guidance and your breakdown provider's instructions.
Not legal, insurance or financial advice
Faultfolio helps you keep an organised history that you may choose to show to a garage, dealer, manufacturer, insurer, finance provider, ombudsman or adviser. It does not provide legal advice, assess the strength of a claim, act as an adjudicator, or guarantee any particular outcome from a complaint, rejection, repair or dispute.
Your records remain your responsibility
Accuracy depends on what you record. Keep your own copies of anything critical, such as invoices, warranty documents and correspondence, and check exported reports before you send them to someone else. Reminders are a convenience feature and may be delayed or missed because of device settings, notification permissions or connectivity, so do not use them as your only prompt for a safety-related task.
